Rushing to prevent catastrophe

A while ago I was returning home from the crochet club at night time. I wasn’t particularly rushing home, It was a nice, peaceful silent walk, and the sky was scattered with bright, twinkling stars.

I remember that I was chatting with my friend over WhatsApp - we were discussing the usual stuff: blogs, projects and daily life. As I was walking down the stairs near my home, close to a small wooded area, I suddenly spotted a faint flicker of light under one of the bushes! My heart skipped a beat - I had to act and prevent it from spreading around the woods! I quickly excused myself, telling my girlfriend that some numpty had set a fire dangerously close to my home. Adrenaline surged my body as I rushed for help. I hurriedly told my partner about the situation. Knowing the flames could potentially lead to dire consequences as the flame could grow rapidly, licking our flat - If it came to a worst scenario.

I grabbed a bucket. Rushing to get water immediately inside, meanwhile my partner phoned the fire department too. Without wasting a second, he ran to extinguish the small but hungry flame to prevent a catastrophe.
