Hi all!
For our college homework, we were tasked to read a book any of our choice from either ESOL library or the main college library. I knew the main library had very easy books in their library so I chose something from the ESOL library on our level of the building instead. There were so many options which I liked and it was hard to choose any particular one. But this one - Invisible Girl - caught my eye with its intruding cover and the annotation at the back.

The book has interesting story line. However, the the topic is very difficult read and I had had a problem with it. In the book is about sexual abuse, harassments and rape.
Cat's family lives in London. A plumbing accident forced them to temporarily move them out, Cat wanted a positive change so she picked a nice, posh area in London. Unfortunately, there was something sketchy going on the streets as Cat and Roran read in the newspaper about rising sexual harassments and rape in that particular area. Cat's stomach sank. Additionally, her daughter's friend was sexually harrassed close to their home but the friend felt ashamed and tried to cover it up as a lie.
Meanwhile, Owen, a college teacher, was accused of sexual harrassment to two particual girls in his class. He had to choose between being reprimanded or leave the work. He chose latter. Consequelly, from that moment his life completely changed too.
What is going to happen Cat's family and Owen's life? How is it all entangled together?
